Panchakarma Therapy

Panchakarma is a foundational detox and healing therapy in Ayurveda. The term translates to “five actions” and refers to five therapeutic procedures designed to cleanse the body of toxins, restore balance, and rejuvenate tissues.
Core Objectives of Panchakarma:
Remove Toxins – Eliminate accumulated ama (toxins and undigested food) from the system.
Balance Doshas – Restore harmony to Vata, Pitta, and Kapha doshas.
Rejuvenate Tissues – Nourish bodily tissues (dhatus) and support longevity.

The Five Panchakarma Therapies:
Vamana (Therapeutic Emesis): Induced vomiting to cleanse the upper digestive tract.
Virechana (Purgation Therapy): Herbal laxatives to cleanse the intestines and liver.
Basti (Enema Therapy): Medicated oil or decoction enemas for colon cleansing and nourishment.
